The original coach house layout was limiting due to 45 degree geometric space plan creating odd spaces.
New space plan is redefined with square geometry and an front addition resulted in better space efficiency. The new stair location transformed the plan and as a result the Basement bedrooms, Rec room and Laundry room received more space for comfort. Main and Second floors were extended over the existing front terrace to provide more interior space for Kitchen, Breakfast, Den, Foyer, Entry hall, Master Suite and Bathroom. The new Kitchen gained great visual connection with the Family, Dining room and Entry hall in comparison to original plan.
The exterior sets the Architectural vocabulary with arched dormers, copper roof and lime stone detailing, box windows that emphasizing forms & volumes, craftsman details of lime stone cladding, combined with stucco, copper trough details and terrace railing, achieving a whole new class in appearance. Roof finish is engineered ‘slate’ to evoke Old-World charm. Skylights along with new windows pour abundance of natural light.
Two storey family room opens to a limestone patio that directs you to the front by a floating limestone bridge.
Interior finishes palette comprise of wide plank oak engineered hardwood for flooring & Stair treads, statuarietto marble and ceramic finishes for kitchen & bathrooms, custom exhaust hood, Heritage custom trim work, painted Entry paneling and cabinetry for kitchen and bathrooms, compose a neutral palette contrasting with off-black doors, Black aluminum clad windows and custom metal stair railing for a high level of personalization and design expression.
